Bush Nominates New Pentagon Spokesman

The Bush administration has picked Dorrance Smith, former media adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, to be the Pentagon's chief spokesman. Smith, a media consultant, has long ties to the administration. He assisted in Florida recount efforts in 2000, and later took over as CPA chief L. Paul Bremer's senior media adviser.
