Bush Picks NNSA's Rapuano for Homeland Security Post

President Bush plans to name Kenneth Rapuano as deputy assistant to the president for homeland security, according to a White House statement released yesterday. In this position, Rapuano would report to Frances Fragos Townsend, the chairwoman of the Homeland Security Council since May. Rapuano serves as the deputy under secretary of energy for counterterrorism and oversees nuclear counter-terror efforts for the Energy Department's National Nuclear Security Administration, the statement reads.
