The CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter will reach the fleet in fiscal year 2019 and the helo's first flight has been bumped a year to 2014, according to a top Marine Corps official and a recent Government Accountability Office report. Inside the Navy reported in September that Lt. Gen. Terry Robling, deputy commandant for aviation, said that while the target for initial operational capability for the CH-53K was still 2018, he noted that it could slide to 2019.
