In Challenge To Lockheed, Raytheon And Kongsberg Team Up On Joint Strike Missile

FARNBOROUGH, ENGLAND -- Raytheon Missile Systems and Norway's Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace have teamed up to develop the Joint Strike Missile for air-launched offensive anti-surface warfare applications, the companies announced here on Tuesday. The effort comes on the heels of an unsuccessful attempt to block a follow-on contract awarded to Lockheed Martin to complete the development of the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM).
