Clapper Approves Sweeping Reorganization of Pentagon Counterintelligence

James Clapper, the under secretary of defense for intelligence, has approved a proposal to streamline the Pentagon's Counterintelligence Field Activity so that it can better coordinate efforts to protect military personnel and resources from terrorists and foreign spies, according to CIFA's director. CIFA plays a central role in overseeing the Defense Department's counterintelligence community.
