Commerce Department readies semiconductor industry survey

The Commerce Department is poised to send out surveys to the semiconductor industry in a follow-up study to a 2009 effort designed to get a handle on the current field, according to a source with knowledge of the effort. "This is a 'Who's left?' survey," the source said.
