Commission: China Hampers International Nonproliferation Efforts

China's policies toward North Korea and Iran have hampered international efforts to prevent the spread of nuclear and missile technology, according to a new U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission report. In particular, China has been unwilling to use its considerable influence with Pyongyang to end North Korea's missile and nuclear development efforts, and Chinese government and industrial entities have not stopped providing missile development assistance to Tehran, a draft version of the report states.
