CRS Unveils Review of Proposed Nuclear Complex Consolidation

The Congressional Research Service yesterday unveiled its review of recommendations from key advisers to the energy secretary on reshaping the nation's nuclear weapons complex for the future. The Secretary of Energy Advisory Board proposals, first made available in a July 13, 2005, report, made waves in Washington by calling for the consolidation of efforts to build nuclear explosive packages -- the heart of the world's most dangerous weapons -- at one location.
