Some defense analysts are welcoming the Army's recent decision to scrap its solicitation for the Ground Combat Vehicle and see it as a sign of level-headed planning, despite the disruption it caused many major industry players. Dakota Wood, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, said it was a good sign to see the Army was willing to reevaluate something like the multibillion-dollar GCV program at the front end, as opposed to pulling up stakes further...
