Disputed JTRS Manpack Radio Re-test Under Way With DOD Evaluators

The Army last week began re-testing the manpack variant of the Joint Tactical Radio System in response to findings from the Pentagon's chief weapons tester that pegged the product as "not operationally effective." Service officials said the developmental test was being run by Army Test and Evaluation Command and taking place at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
