Egypt has asked to purchase $882 million worth of U.S. military equipment and support, including the upgrade of 35 AH-64A Apache helicopters to the "D" version, the Defense Department announced yesterday. The helicopters would not feature the Longbow Fire Control Radar, the centerpiece of the Army's Longbow Apache.
