DOD Announces $882 Million Worth of Foreign Military Sales to Egypt

Egypt has asked to purchase $882 million worth of U.S. military equipment and support, including the upgrade of 35 AH-64A Apache helicopters to the "D" version, the Defense Department announced yesterday. The helicopters would not feature the Longbow Fire Control Radar, the centerpiece of the Army's Longbow Apache. The potential $400 million sale would include 35 Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision sensors and related equipment.
