DOD Asks Congress To Quickly OK New Multimillion-Dollar Programs

The Pentagon is asking a handful of key lawmakers to quickly approve the start of new multimillion-dollar programs, much to the chagrin of the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Included in new multibillion-dollar reprogramming requests sent to Congress this month by Defense Department Comptroller Robert Hale are calls to launch an array of programs in Army, Navy, Air Force and DOD-wide accounts.
