DOD conducted reassessment of audit readiness, reaffirmed strategy

The Pentagon conducted a reassessment of its audit-readiness efforts last fall, and confirmed that its financial management plans are on track to be audit ready by Sept. 30, 2017, with the goal to enter full financial statement audits in fiscal year 2018, according to Defense Department spokesman Lt.
