The Pentagon, responding to flaws highlighted in a recent Government Accountability Office report, has established a working group to provide Congress better budget data in fiscal year 2018 concerning military fuel consumption. The GAO report, released Sept. 12 , states that the working group will include the Pentagon comptroller, the Defense Logistics Agency and representatives from the military services to reconcile fuel sales reports in time to support the FY-18 budget submission.
