Defense Environment Alert -- The Defense Department earlier this month joined 10 other federal agencies and departments collaborating on strategies to make more environmentally sustainable decisions when acquiring, using and disposing of electronic assets -- an initiative meant to steer the marketplace toward more environmentally friendly electronic purchases.
