DOD Waits on Army Funds Transfer as Service Determines Iraq Troops' Needs

The Pentagon is still considering whether to ask Congress for the authority to transfer $750 million within the Army's budget to prevent the service from running out of money for civilian pay as it awaits the passage of an emergency supplemental spending bill, according to a senior Army budget official.
