DOT&E: KC-46 Test Schedule Too Aggressive, And Radar Warning Receiver Needs Improvement

The Pentagon's top weapons tester has praised the Air Force for stretching out its KC-46A tanker developmental schedule to reflect a more realistic duration but warned that many of the service's assumptions on the pace of that program are still too optimistic. Additionally, a component that will provide the tanker with radar warning information has been deemed "not operationally effective," and issues with it must be resolved before it is incorporated onto the KC-46, according to a report analyzing progress...
