Frist Picks Thompson to Serve on U.S.-China Commission

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) today appointed former congressional colleague Fred Thompson to serve on the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. Thompson, a Republican who served in the Senate from 1995 to 2002, will serve a term that expires in December 2006, according to a commission announcement.
