FTC Issues Second 'United Launch Alliance' Request to Boeing, Lockheed

The Federal Trade Commission has for a second time asked Boeing and Lockheed Martin for information on a joint entity that would manufacture expendable launch vehicles for the U.S. government, the companies announced yesterday. FTC officials have indicated they need need more time to review the companies' ULA plans, Boeing and Lockheed said in an Oct. 24 statement.
