GAO Calls for Assessment of Military Recruiting, Attrition Efforts

The General Accounting Office believes the Defense Department should assess the services' recent efforts to improve recruiting and determine how one service's "best practices" can be applied to the others. In its new report, GAO states this assessment should also help to minimize service competition for the same limited number of enlistees.
