GAO: Pentagon Still Lacks Long-Term ISR Investment Plan

Defense Department officials should craft a long-term strategy for employing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities, as the lack of such a plan hampers the Pentagon's ability to spend tens of billions of dollars for new systems effectively, according to congressional auditors. In a March 24 report for Congress, published today, Government Accountability Office auditors said DOD's development of an ISR "integration roadmap" has helped short-term planning.
