Gates Approves DX Rating for MRAP

Defense Secretary Robert Gates has assigned a DX rating to the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle program, giving it priority for critical resources such as tires and steel. Gates issued his decision in a June 1 memo, a copy of which was obtained by Inside the Navy .
