A computer worm meant to eliminate another worm caused widespread disruption of access to the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, denying users access to some network applications since Monday afternoon and causing more problems than the original attack. An as-yet-unknown person started spreading the Welchia worm, which was designed to seek out and eliminate the Blaster worm.
