HII: Cost Of Closing Avondale 12.5 Percent Lower Than Expected

Huntington Ingalls Industries believes it will cost 12.5 percent less to close operations at the Avondale shipyard than originally thought, and the company plans to submit a revised proposal to the Navy later this month, company officials said in a second-quarter 2011 earnings teleconference call today.
