House Appropriators Mark Up Homeland Security Funding Bill

The House Appropriations homeland security subcommittee yesterday marked up a funding bill that would give the Department of Homeland Security $30.8 billion for fiscal year 2005 -- $308.5 million less than the amount requested by President Bush earlier this year. The full committee will begin considering the legislation June 9, according to a panel spokesman.
