House Lawmakers Want USAF to Replace C-5As with C-17s

House lawmakers are urging the Air Force to come up with a plan for replacing some of its oldest Lockheed Martin C-5 Galaxy aircraft with new Boeing-built C-17 Globemaster III cargo haulers, according to a congressional report. The House Appropriations committee included the language this week in its report on the Defense Department's fiscal year 2009 warfighting supplemental appropriations bill.
