House Panel Shifts Funds For Destroyer Upgrades To Undersea Warfare

The House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday shifted some funds intended to plus up destroyer modernization to developing undersea warfare solutions. During its mark-up of the fiscal year 2016 defense authorization bill , the committee adopted an amendment introduced by seapower and projection forces subcommittee Chairman Randy Forbes (R-VA) that would shift $60 million to the research and development appropriation for undersea warfare systems.
