House Panel Would Limit GCV Funds Pending Additional Analysis

A House Armed Services subcommittee wants to limit funding for the Army's multibillion-dollar Ground Combat Vehicle pending a second analysis of alternatives, according to documents released today. Funding would be limited to no more than 70 percent of the Army's fiscal year 2012 request of $884 million until lawmakers are provided a report “containing an updated analysis of alternatives that includes a quantitative comparison of the most current upgraded Bradley Fighting Vehicle and other alternatives against the revised GCV design...
