House Passes Legislation That Would Close BRAC 'Loophole'

The House today approved legislation that prevents the military from using a loophole to close military bases without the approval of Congress. Two congressmen whose districts include bases the Air Force has targeted for major force-structure changes offered the legislation as an amendment to the fiscal year 2013 defense authorization bill.
