House Subcommittee Slashes $400 Million From FCS

The House Armed Services tactical air and land subcommittee voted today to cut the president's proposed budget for the Future Combat System by $400 million in its mark-up of the defense authorization bill for fiscal year 2006. The full House Armed Services Committee mark-up is scheduled for May 18.
