Huntington Ingalls finds potential buyer for Avondale

Huntington Ingalls said last week it has entered into an agreement to sell its Avondale facility. The company ceased operations at the Louisiana shipyard in October 2014 and has long sought a new use for the facility. In 2015, the company ended discussions with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, with whom it had teamed to consider alternatives for the shipyard.
