Marine Corps Force Structure Review Calls For Smaller Equipment List

The Marine Corps' recently completed Force Structure Review calls for trimming the list of equipment Marine units take when they deploy abroad, compared to what the service uses in Afghanistan. The new list would be one that is designed for crisis-response situations in which troops can be bolstered in theater by maritime prepositioning squadrons, according to the officer who oversaw the study.
