Marine Corps' Truncated MRAP Plan Still Needs JROC's Blessing

A proposal to chop the Marine Corps' planned Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle buy still requires the approval of a high-level Pentagon board before it can be implemented, Commandant Gen. James Conway said today. Conway said his proposal to reduce the number of MRAPs the Marine Corps orders from 3,700 to 2,300 is awaiting the imprimatur of the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
