MDA Director Kadish to Retire in September

Missile Defense Agency Director and Air Force Lt. Gen. Ronald Kadish will retire from the service effective Sept. 1, the agency announced today. President Bush has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Henry Obering, MDA's deputy director, to replace Kadish, according to the announcement. Kadish has led MDA and its predecessor agency, the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, since 1999.
