Military Eying Possible Climate-Adaptation Actions for QDR

Defense Environment Alert -- Defense officials carrying out the Quadrennial Defense Review may be urged to consider measures to promote adaptation to climate change, including military-to-military collaboration. Congress has mandated that the Pentagon consider climate-change impacts in the QDR process for the first time. Some within the military have also been seeking to launch an interagency panel under the National Security Council to develop a strategy on environmental security.
