Modly out, Army's McPherson to serve as acting Navy secretary

Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly resigned today after receiving a slew of criticism for berating the former skipper of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak. The Army's recently confirmed under secretary, James McPherson, will replace Modly, Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced on Twitter .
