Navy May Have to Modify Major Shipbuilding Agreement

The Navy may have to re-open negotiations for a major shipbuilding agreement it brokered between General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman in June 2002 if the service proceeds with plans to curtail the LPD-17 shipbuilding program. Under the agreement, the two industry giants swapped shipbuilding work worth billions of dollars.
