Navy Reviewing San Antonio-Class Amphibs' Diesel Engines

Naval Sea Systems Command is investigating the design and condition of diesel engines on the San Antonio-class LPD-17 amphibious dock ships to determine if recent problems with the engines are systemic across the five ships in the fleet, the Navy's top admiral told reporters aboard his plane Saturday.
