Navy Says E/F Has Passed Operational Testing, Ready For Full Production

The Navy's top aviation official said today the F/A-18E/F, the heart of naval aviation for the next decade, has passed its operational evaluation tests and is ready to be delivered to the fleet. If Defense Secretary William Cohen certifies to Congress the program has met certain statutory provisions, the Navy could go to full-rate production in a few months.
