New Airborne Sensor System Could Cut Down on Sonar Blasts

The Navy plans to develop an anti-submarine sensor for the P-3C aircraft that will cut down on high-powered sonar blasts, and the service has announced it will begin funding the program this fiscal year, according to a notice issued Dec. 18 by Naval Air Systems Command.
