New details surface about Navy's unmanned aerial tanker program

The Navy revealed new details about its most highly anticipated new-start program -- an unmanned airborne tanker operating from an aircraft carrier -- during the Feb. 9 budget rollout. After the Office of the Secretary of Defense concluded its intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and targeting portfolio review the Navy's Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike system was restructured into a new program named the Carrier Based Aerial Refueling System.
