New DSB Task Force to Study Guard, Reserve Deployments

Pentagon acquisition czar Kenneth Krieg has ordered the Defense Science Board to form a task force that will study how long and how often National Guard and reserve troops should be deployed in the global war on terrorism. This task force, according to an Oct. 12 terms of reference memorandum from Krieg, will produce a report that examines existing deployment practices for such troops.
