New U.S., Canadian Agreement on NORAD to Benefit NMD

The United States and Canada have agreed to amend the North American Aerospace Defense Command cooperative agreement to make available missile warning capabilities to U.S. commands operating ballistic missile defenses, Canadian officials announced today. NORAD, established in 1958 and run by both countries, is responsible for the aerospace defense of North America, which includes searching the skies for missile threats.
