NNSA Unveils Environmental Review Plans for 'Complex 2030'

The National Nuclear Security Administration today kicked into higher gear plans to prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement for "Complex 2030," a blueprint for modernizing the U.S. nuclear weapons complex. This morning, NNSA, which manages the complex for the Energy Department, published a "notice of intent" in the Federal Register saying the supplemental EIS will analyze the environmental ramifications of changes envisioned for the nation's nuclear laboratories and production plants.
