Northrop Grumman Begins Discussions With EU Officials On TRW Bid

Northrop Grumman this week began talking with European antitrust officials about its proposal to acquire TRW, according to a company spokesman. "It is anticipated that the EU review process will take, at a minimum, another month to complete," Northrop spokesman Randy Belote told InsideDefense.com April 9. TRW has been fighting Northrop's Feb. 21 $47-per-share offer, saying the offer was "financially inadequate," "opportunistic" and "severely undervalued."
