OMB Asks Federal Agencies to Designate Senior Coordinators for Geospatial Information

The Office of Management and Budget is asking the Defense Department and other federal agencies to each give a senior official responsibility for geospatial information issues. In a widely distributed March 3 memorandum, OMB Deputy Director for management Clay Johnson says the designations could help optimize geospatial investments across all levels of government, from decision-makers in Washington to those working at municipalities.
