Pace's QDR Assessment: Military 'Fully Capable' of Executing Defense Strategy

The U.S. military's top officer has advised Congress that the U.S. armed forces are "fully capable" of executing the National Defense Strategy, which requires the ability to fight two major campaigns at the same time. Gen. Peter Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, rendered this judgment in a five-page assessment of the Quadrennial Defense Review, and included as an appendix to the new blueprint for the U.S. military.
