PACOM Establishing Joint Task Force to Assist Tsunami Victims

The Defense Department has dispatched a Marine Expeditionary Unit, the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and a maritime prepositioning ship from Guam to assist with relief efforts in South Asia where a deadly tsunami that struck Sunday has killed 100,000. President Bush announced the relief effort during a news conference today.
