Pentagon to Kick Off 15 New Advanced Concept Technology Demos in '05

The Defense Department will launch 15 advanced technology and concept projects that aim to quickly field new capabilities for soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, according to a Pentagon statement. New unmanned aerial vehicles, undersea detection devices for shallow-water operations and improved technologies for detecting a chemical weapon attack are among the bundle of advanced concept technology demonstrations (ACTDs) that will be pursued in 2005.
