Pentagon Proposes $800 Million Sale to Upgrade Saudi C-130 Fleet

Saudi Arabia wants to buy $800 million worth of C-130 upgrade kits, according to the Defense Department. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency, which handles overseas arms sales for the Pentagon, notified lawmakers today of the possible sale of upgrade kits for 54 C-130 aircraft. Boeing would furnish the kits. The Saudi kingdom is requesting these upgrade kits to improve the Royal Saudi Air Force's cargo fleet by enhancing its navigation and communications equipment.
